Ryan K. Oberly has been an associate attorney with Mosher & Wagenmaker, LLC (formerly Mosher & Associates) since 2005 and enjoys advising the firm's diverse nonprofit clients as they work to improve their local and global communities. His practice focuses on corporate structuring, federal and multistate tax issues, intellectual property, and a range of international legal issues affecting charitable and religious organizations’ global philanthropy.
Ryan often works with nonprofits operating in multiple states and foreign countries and helps clients evaluate their operations and develop legal structures to manage civil risks, comply with federal and state tax laws, and facilitate organizational growth. He also routinely handles trademark and copyright issues that arise within the nonprofit community.
Ryan chaired the Chicago Bar Association's Tax-Exempt Organization Committee from 2008-2010, and regularly teaches at area colleges and universities on nonprofit legal issues. He is a graduate of Denison University, the University of Richmond School of Law, and studied international law at La Universidad de Deusto in Bilbao, Spain.
