Multistate and International
|
|
A large share of
our firm’s clients operate in multiple states and conduct activities in foreign
countries, and thus face numerous additional registration and reporting
responsibilities. Our attorneys evaluate multistate activities and advise
clients conducting sales, charitable solicitations, or other potentially taxable
activity to ensure compliance in all fifty states.
Many of our
clients operate overseas and our attorneys regularly provide counsel on a wide
range of legal matters related to international philanthropy. This includes,
among others, foreign asset-reporting and withholding, international
grantmaking, disaster relief, and antiterrorism compliance. We also work with
clients on the income tax and social security issues associated with foreign
workers in the US, and with US citizens working abroad.
